WHY RED AND GREEN ARE CHRISTMAS COLORS.

Why  red and green are Christmas colors, you might have thought about this but as we know each Topic of life has different stories attached to it..

'' Some Say, that Red is for the Blood of Christ that flowed from Him to save you from you sins, and, green is the
new life you receive when you ask God to forgive you of you sins.
Gold for the streets of gold you will walk as a lover of God and a Christian-washed in Blood of the Lamb-all of your sins washed away and you are clean and Holy.
Wonderful!''(Almost Every one thinks so)

Sorry, but the above answers are wrong. Our tradition of decorating with bows of Holly and pine trees and so forth is an ancient pagan tradition for celebrating the Winter Solstice on Dec 23 - 24. These traditions were continued after most of Europe adopted Christianity.

The green celebrates nature and the coming of Spring. The bows of Holly (real ones) have red berries on them. The gold was added later - it looks really cool with the other colors - when used in moderation - and adds a royal or regal touch to the decorations.

Don't get me wrong - I love Christmas, what it stands for (Peace on Earth, Good Will to all men), and the decorations. Just keeping it real by telling you the truth behind the dates and its colors.

COLLECTING RAINWATER NOW ILLEGAL.

As bizarre as it sounds, laws restricting property owners from "diverting" water that falls on their own homes and land have been on the books for quite some time in many Western states. Only recently, as droughts and renewed interest in water conservation methods have become more common, have individuals and business owners started butting heads with law enforcement over the practice of collecting rainwater for personal use.

In Colorado, USA, two new laws were recently passed that exempt certain small-scale rainwater collection systems, like the kind people might install on their homes, from collection restrictions.
In Colorado, you need state permission to collect rain water that falls from the sky. Even if its on your own property.

Prior to the passage of these laws, Douglas County, Colorado, conducted a study on how rainwater collection affects aquifer and groundwater supplies. The study revealed that letting people collect rainwater on their properties actually reduces demand from water facilities and improves conservation.

Personally, I don't think a study was even necessary to come to this obvious conclusion. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that using rainwater instead of tap water is a smart and useful way to conserve this valuable resource, especially in areas where drought is a major concern.
E.g of an illegal collection of water.

WHY PIG ROLL AROUND IN MUD

Do you know why when you move outside you see pigs very dirty and stinky, but happy.

Pigs get sunburned and roll around in mud to protect their skin from the scotching sun, so the mud rolling and dirty body are just adaptive way to stay alive....

CHARGE YOUR MOBILE PHONES USING YOUR URINE.

Pee power or Urine Power! In a world first, UK scientists claim to have developed a novel method to charge mobile phones - using human urine.

Scientists working at the Bristol Robotics Laboratory have described the "breakthrough" finding of charging cell phones using urine as the power source to generate electricity.
"We are very excited as this is a world first, no-one has harnessed power from urine to do this so it's an exciting discovery. Using the ultimate waste product as a source of power to produce electricity is about as eco as it gets," Dr Ioannis Ieropoulos from University of the West of England (UWE), Bristol, an expert at harnessing power from unusual sources using microbial fuel cells, said.
"One product that we can be sure of an unending supply is our own urine. By harnessing this power as urine passes through a cascade of microbial fuel cells (MFCs), we have managed to charge a mobile phone. The beauty of this fuel source is that we are not relying on the erratic nature of the wind or the Sun, we are actually re-using waste to create energy," said Ieropoulos.

CAN A HIPPOPOTAMUS CAN RUN FASTER THAN A MAN?

A Hippo can run from 18 mph / 30 khm; to 30 mph / 50 khm and the “Average Human” can run between 14 and 27 mph (Olympic sprinters ignored for the purposes of this question) – so the answer would be that a Hippo can, on average, outrun a human.

$65,000,000 TO ANY MAN ABLE TO WOO MY LESBIAN DAUGHTER.

A Hong Kong billionaire has offered $65,000,000 to any man able to woo and marry his lesbian daughter.
Choa and His Daughter Gigi.
Chao, 76, a Hong Kong real estate magnate, made headlines late last year when news reports quoted him as saying he would offer $500 million Hong Kong dollars -- $65 million in U.S. cash -- to a successful male suitor for Gigi Chao, one of Cecil Chao's three children.

Since the announcement, offers from men around the world have come pouring in, but the tycoon's daughter isn't interested.
Gigi Chao, 33, has been in a relationship with a woman, Sean Eav, for eight years. The pair made it official in a church ceremony in Paris earlier this year.
Gigi Chao said she broke the news of the Paris ceremony to her father in June.
"He was surprised and unpleasantly shocked by it," she recalled. She said her father also urged her not to make the news public, but word leaked out when a tabloid reporter asked Eav in September when the two would be married. Eav told the reporter the couple was already married.
Meanwhile, Cecil Chao questioned the validity of his daughter's marriage.

"I explained to him that it's (by) no means legal, and it's a church ceremony -- a church blessing," Gigi Chao said. "And so, he found it necessary to make an announcement that, 'My daughter is, in fact, not married, she's still single.'"
But Cecil Chao then went a step further.
While "the reporters had their mikes in his face, he just kind of goes, 'No. No, she's not homosexual. She's not-- she doesn't have gay tendencies. She's not married. In fact, I'm trying to find a husband for her. Why don't you guys try to help me. I'll offer 500 million,'" Gigi Chao said.
Long time watchers of Cecil Chao, a staple of Hong Kong tabloids for years, may find his sudden championing of marriage surprising. Chao himself has never married. He fathered his three children with three different women and has boasted of sleeping with more than 10,000 women.
Nonetheless, he said he wants a "normal family life" for his daughter.
Cecil Chao said his only criteria for a male suitor is that Gigi Chao must love him, and that he must like Gigi.
Though nothing, he added, will ever change his love for his daughter, he said he never wants to meet the woman that Gigi Chao calls her "life partner."
The tension over Gigi Chao's love life notwithstanding, the Chaos have maintained their father-daughter relationship.
"I am happy. And he knows I am happy," she said. "He just wants me to be more happy."
The Offer is still on you can be that lucky Man....

10 MOST ADDICTIVE SUBSTANCE.

1. Cell Phone Addiction
Cell phones are a great way to keep in touch with other people, but when a person is constantly sending text messages through this piece of technology, it can become problematic. Cell phone addiction has been identified as a problem among tweens and teens in Japan. In some cases, young people are spending hours at a time exchanging messages with friends.

2. E-mail Addiction
Checking your e-mail more than once an hour may be a sign of e-mail addiction. If your e-mail use interferes with your regular life, then that is another indication that e-mail addiction has crept into your life.

3. eBay Addiction
eBay is a popular place for online shoppers to purchase just about anything they want. Some people find that they get a rush or a high from being the person who wins the bidding to get items available for sale on eBay and other Internet auction sites. They may adjust their daily routine so that they can log in during the final few minutes of an auction to place the winning bid.

4. Online Gambling Addiction
Online gambling can be an enjoyable way to pass the time and win some money. For some people, this hobby becomes an obsession and they are unable to stop gambling online. This form of addiction can have serious personal and financial consequences if the individual doesn't get appropriate treatment.

5. Internet Addiction
A person who is addicted to using the Internet may spend hours each day online. Some people who live with this type of addiction use their time spent online to surf the Internet to visit a number of web sites to collect information on a variety of topics. They may not actually need the information; the exercise is more of an obsession with finding bits of knowledge online.

6. Cybersex Addiction
Cybersex is sex talk through the computer. Participants type in messages and share fantasies. One or both participants would likely masturbate while doing so. This type of activity doesn't carry risk of pregnancy or contracting a sexually transmitted disease, and some people don't consider if to be cheating (but others do). An addict spends a lot of time either engaging in or planning their next cybersex encounter, to the detriment of having an intimate relationship with a partner they can actually be in physical contact with.

7. Online Pornography Addiction
Erotic images are readily available online, and simply viewing them from time to time is not the sign of an addiction. The test of whether an activity has crossed the line to become an addiction is whether it interferes with your daily activities. If you get to the point where a good portion of your waking hours are spent viewing online porn, thinking about it, or planning your next session of looking at porn, you may have an online pornography addiction.

8. TV Addiction
Have you ever thought that you spend too much time watching TV? This is an enjoyable pastime for many people, but if you find yourself planning your time around being able to watch TV, this can be a cause for concern.

9. Exercise Addiction
We know that being physically active is a good thing. When you exercise, your body releases endorphins, the body's "feel good" hormones. For some people, the rush they get from exercising turns into an addiction.

10. Prescription Drug Addiction
Not all drug addicts use illegal substances. Being addicted to prescription medications may seem to be a little more "respectable" than using illegal drugs, but an addiction is still an addiction.

BRAIN EXERCISE!!

Exercise of the brain is as important as exercise of the muscles. As we grow older, it's important that we keep mentally alert.
Below is a very private way to gage your loss or non-loss of intelligence. So take the following test presented here and determine if you are losing it or are still a MENSA candidate. OK, relax, clear your mind and . . . begin.

1. What do you put in a toaster?
The answer is bread. If you said "toast", then give up now and go do something else. Try not to hurt yourself. If you said, "bread", go to question 2.

2. Say "silk" five times. Now spell "silk". What do cows drink?
Answer: Cows drink water. If you said "milk", please do not attempt the next question. Your brain is obviously overstressed and may even overheat. It may be that you need to content yourself with reading something more appropriate such as "Children's World". If you said, "water" then proceed to question three.

3. If a red house is made from red bricks and a blue house is made from blue bricks and a pink house is made from pink bricks and a black house is made from black bricks, what is a greenhouse made from?
Answer: Greenhouses are made from glass. If you said "green bricks", what the heck are you still doing here reading these questions? If you said "glass", then go on to question four.

4. Twenty years ago, a plane is flying at 20,000 feet over Germany. If you will recall, Germany at the time was politically divided into West Germany and East Germany. Anyway, during the flight, TWO of the engines fail. The pilot, realizing that the last remaining engine is also failing, decides on a crash landing procedure. Unfortunately the engine fails before he has time and the plane crashes smack in the middle of "no man's land" between East Germany and West Germany. Where would you bury the survivors - East Germany or West Germany or in "no man's land"?
Answer: You don't, of course, bury survivors. If you said ANYTHING else, you are a real dunce and you must NEVER try to rescue anyone from a plane crash. Your efforts would not be appreciated. If you said, "Don't bury the survivors" then proceed to the next question.

5. If the hour hand on a clock moves 1/60th of a degree every minute then how many degrees will the hour hand move in one hour? Answer: One degree. If you said "360 degrees" or anything other than "one degree", you are to be congratulated on getting this far, but you are obviously out of your league. Turn your pencil in and exit the room. Everyone else proceed to the final question.

6. Without using a calculator - You are driving a bus from London to Milford Haven in Wales. In London, 17 people get on the bus. In Reading, six people get off the bus and nine people get on. In Swindon, two people get off and four get on. In Cardiff, 11 people get off and 16 people get on. In Swansea, three people get off and five people get on. In Carmathen, six people get off and three get on. You then arrive at Milford Haven. What was the name of the bus driver?
Answer: Oh, for heaven sake! It was YOU, Read the first line!!!

The saying: "If you don't use it, you will lose it" also applies to the brain.
